Mechanicals / Body / Interior & Dash: All professionally restored to manufacture’s specification. The original color combination is two-tone: black over robin’s egg green, with green/grey leather and vinyl interior as factory original specifications. The Hornet was originally purchased from a California dealer and after three years bought by second owner. The car survived well in the Nevada desert for 44 years with that owner. I, as third owner, purchased the car in 1999, and in 2000 the car was professionally restored over the period of 27 months that includes 5,000 hours. The engine is the original Hornet 308 cubic inch engine with two carburetors that produce 160 horse power. Mileage since restoration is 00223.
Paint: After primer application, Sikkens paint process of single-stage, then hand wet-sanded between coats.
Chrome Bumpers: Hex chrome process begins with copper plate, then nickel plate on top for depth and corrosion protection, then chrome coatings to provide a slight bluish cast to the luster.
